Birth Doula
Hello, I’m Lucy. I’ve been supporting birthing people for a little over the past decade. My respect for the differences in what drives people to arrive at the decisions they do grows with every family I support.
I doula because I think that if there’s ever a time that you deserve to have someone in your corner, figuring out what’s important to you, affirming your process, actively listening, supporting you in your important relationships, gathering and sifting information and generally being dedicated to making the time as smooth and friendly to you as possible, it’s through the physical and emotional demands of the process of birth, in the run up to having a/some new person/s that you are wholly responsible for. Becoming a parent - for the first, second or subsequent time - is a big deal. And humans weren’t ever supposed to do it alone.
