I'm Betty.
I live in Folkestone with my family. We love it. Partly for the beauty, partly for the creativity, partly for the beach, and mostly for the people.
I am passionate and sweary, I get cross but in a productive way, I am a food loving vegan, I'm a great mum, I am queer, I am a bit bossy, I am firmly pro trans, especially in the birth room, and I'm an unapologetic, demanding, intersectional feminist.
Also I am INTO birth.
Whilst I will enthusiastically (ok, maybe a bit evangelically) speak of my life-changing undisturbed home birth, and firmly believe that birth is an astonishingly safe non-medical event, what REALLY gets me excited is people making free, informed, decisions about their birth that feel good and right for them. Free from fear, confusion, intimidation or coercion, and without having to battle through bullshit to get there.
I am here to help you achieve that, however I can.
