Birth & Postnatal Doula

Doula UK

First Aid Trained

Hi I’m Bea, birth and postnatal doula based in Tunbridge Wells with my husband and two children. I cover Kent, Sussex and parts of London, travelling up to 1 hour from my home. I completed my training with Nurturing Birth in May 2021 and I am a mentored doula with Doula UK. I am family first aid trained, DBS checked, insured and have completed hundreds of hours of postnatal doula work.

I believe that every woman deserves to experience a birth that empowers them, makes them proud of their body and confident as a mother – to have a positive birth story whether that’s an elective caesarean or a drug free water birth at home, whether it goes to plan or not you can come away with memories to cherish if you are informed, heard and validated.

Those precious early days and weeks, the fourth trimester, are moments to be treasured – you need support to create and protect that newborn bubble, to ease the transition to new motherhood (the first, second, third or fourth time) and make the most of that special time.

“I cannot find sufficient words to thank you for the love and support you have given our family, at a time when we desperately needed it. It has meant the world and the most important thing is the time you have given me to spend with XXX and XXX, whilst emotionally supporting me.

You are a brilliant doula and we are so grateful for you support. I honestly don’t know what we will do without you, we already miss you” Hannah

“Bea was an incredible support throughout my pregnancy and on the day I went in to labour. In the lead up to my birth Bea passed on a lot of really useful information that helped me to get into a mindset where I fully understood and believed in my bodies ability to give birth and gave me so much confidence about labour and all of the eventualities or decisions I may have to make. I went from being terrified of giving birth, to actually looking forward to the experience that awaited me and my partner.

She was the first people I reached out to the day I went in to labour, to double check if she agreed that the twinges I was feeling were contractions. She helped to manage my expectations and re-set the mindset that would see me go on to have an extremely positive and empowering birth experience, with very little pain relief.

Forever grateful to have had her wise words, knowledge and belief in me throughout.” Lynsey
